New Workshops Come to Froebel

Finally, electives are electives!

ree

Froebel Bilingual School is excited to announce a significant expansion of our educational offerings with the introduction of a new series of year-long elective workshops specifically designed for eleventh and twelfth-grade students.

These innovative workshops provide older high school students with a unique opportunity to deepen their skills through hands-on, collaborative creative projects. Students will not only produce diverse ongoing projects but also actively participate in scheduled school events, allowing them to take on meaningful roles and responsibilities. A core focus of these workshops is to foster the development of each student's individual creative voice and enhance their technical expertise.

As a new component of our curriculum, these workshops will be graded like any other course, reflecting their academic rigor and importance. Notably, these workshops mark a significant milestone for Froebel Bilingual School as our inaugural, genuinely elective programs, providing students with unprecedented choice in their academic pursuits.

Notably, these workshops mark a significant milestone for Froebel Bilingual School as our inaugural, genuinely elective programs, providing students with unprecedented choice in their academic pursuits.

This year, Froebel will offer four workshops in cinematography, dance, journalism, and theater. Eleventh and twelfth-grade students will have one day to choose which workshop they'd like to join for the school year. Although, choosing which group to join is elective, joining any one is a requirement. Students must be aware that the traditional clubs they have been used to, will only be available for seventh to tenth grade students.

We believe these new workshops will empower our students to explore their passions, develop valuable skills, and contribute to our school community in exciting new ways. We look forward to seeing the incredible projects and performances that emerge from these innovative programs.
